The
wedding industry is a very exciting business to be in. DJ Mike and DJ
Lisa at Creative Sound Entertainment strive to share this excitement by
making your wedding event fun and special. We have attended many receptions
as guests. Amongst the well seasoned talent, we have sometimes observed
a lack of professionalism and attention to detail. For example, it is
important for an audience to know when to have their glasses filled for
the toast and when all other reception formalities are going to occur.
An experienced wedding entertainment coordinator will also make sure that
all music selections played during the formalities will be appropriate
and within the guidelines discussed with you the client.
In
keeping pace with current trends in the wedding business, we have taken
on the roles of Wedding Entertainment Coordinators. We work closely with
brides and grooms in developing such details as a schedule of events,
music selection list, floor plan, and order of announcements. Through
our on-line planning tools, these details can be shared with other vendors
and the wedding party. This helps keep everyone on the same page.
We
keep the focus of the day on the bride and groom. Personal information
will be gathered in advance to make the grand introduction unique. We
make sure that our interactive approach in creating the dancing atmosphere
involves the newlyweds as much as possible.
DJ
arrival time for setup will be set in advance, this assures that all equipment
will be ready to go in time and background music will be playing for arrival
of the first guests. Setup details will reflect the previously agreed
upon floor plan.
Prior to introducing the wedding party into the reception area, the DJ
will assist in staging the order of attendants. The grand introduction
is then performed to the previously agreed upon music selection. The DJ
will monitor the progress of all formalities and assist in coordinating
the dinner or buffet with announcing each table as necessary. Monitoring
the progress of each formality is a primary concern. The DJ will alert
photographers and caterers, and make appropriate announcements to guests
for all events such as the toast, cutting the cake, the First dance, and
the bouquet-garter toss.
Keeping
a flow makes for a fun day and a happy event. Encouraging audience participation
adds to the fun. Appropriate levels of audience interaction are discussed
during our planning meeting. Every event is different and every client
has varying levels of preferred interaction. The DJ will assess client
preferences and coordinate the music appropriately.
